“Coaching was fantastic because it allowed me the time to talk through successes and issues with someone that understood my situations; helped me gain really good perspectives and kept it real. It was really assuring to have formed a good relationship with Lynell; knowing she wanted the best for me and shared in my journey. I focused on preparing for my promotion opportunity, work life balance and making a plan for retirement. A major breakthrough was discussing supervision and leading people. I learned how to provide honest feedback (both good and bad) which led to a really good discussion. My employee stated I gave her insightful feedback and different perspective she had not considered. I was able to lead and have a heart-to-heart discussion proved beneficial for both of us. Lynell discussed with me the importance of work life balance and to give myself grace. I found having her to talk with made me more accountable to balance things. However, I am still a work in progress, but I keep having boundaries and other outlets creates a better work experience. Definitely choose Lynell. She is intuitive, experienced and compassionate. She is personable and relatable. Most of all she truly enjoys coaching and it shows through every session. I would like to maintain Lynell as my coach after the program ends.”

"I am a full-time working mother of 3 who was looking to advance in my career in accounting, finance, information systems, and controls. I had been in a non-people leading Manager role for 2 years and prior to that served in various Analyst / Sr Analyst roles. I appreciated the sessions discussing managing my time, prioritization, energy, and boundaries and gaining new ways of thinking I leaned about myself. I learned where to lean in and where to 'ignore/delete' to focus my attention on the critical asks needs first vs. jumping on every request that comes in my direction. During the engagement I was promoted to Senior Manager and asked to indirectly lead a team of 3 individuals (2 Managers and 1 Senior Analyst). I have placed boundaries on myself for evening work to ensure I come in fresh each day and flexed my morning time to get my kids off to school and daycare more frequently then I used to. I gained confidence in myself and my current abilities as well as understanding what I need to do going forward to continue at this rate of growth."

"Lynell gently pushed me to think creatively and collaborated with me to find my own solutions to the roadblocks I brought to the table. I felt like I truly developed my skillset when it came to delegating. I noticed my stress levels declined significantly with gaining more confidence in my ability to delegate. Pushing the team to do the work instead of holding onto all of it myself was a huge weight lifted. I also know I got more organized and was able to provide the team meaningful resources of how to better navigate the "grey area" of their roles. Working with Lynell was a great choice! Be prepared to think critically and be able to own the areas that you're struggling with so that she can help you the most."

"I lacked confidence in myself and the ability to speak up for myself. Through coaching, I was able to have awareness about where I came from to determine how I got to where I am and why so I could move forward. I have created some great new relationships within my organization. I am not afraid to fail, but also have come to terms that my current company may not be the best fit for me. My biggest area where I grew was confidence in myself, dealing with conflict head on and not avoiding it or anything I encounter for that matter. I loved working with you. You challenged me to think through situations to find appropriate solutions and not to be so afraid. You helped me gain excellent insights to help propel me forward and how to look at things from a different perspective."

"I worked with Lynell over a 6 month period as I made the transition to partner in my firm. I chose to work with Lynell for the difference in perspective I hoped she would bring, to better help me identify where my own thinking needed to change. Lynell brought insight to every meeting, and I came away from every session with at least one "wow" moment from a perspective-shift our conversation had revealed. It was incredibly easy to establish a working rapport with Lynell, and I looked forward to every session. Lynell provided a good amount of takeaway reading and actions for me to help with my reflection on each session, materials I revisit from time-to-time because of the value and insight they carry. Over the course of our coaching relationship I made tangible progress in my goal-setting and measuring, and I now feel significantly better equipped to handle the challenges that will emerge over the next few years as I balance my career and personal goals."

"I was very unhappy and resentful in my job. I did not know where to start looking for a job or even what that opportunity may look like. Our company had gone through a merger and the nature of my initial job responsibilities has changed quite a bit. I gained so much clarity working with Lynell. My sessions were supported with the Energy Leadership Index Assessment. In the end, I realized that I did have opportunities in my company I enjoyed and those outweighed leaving or changing my current job position. I realized that I do have the ability to eliminate what does not serve my position to make my situation better. I was really resigned to leaving my job and working with Lynell, we actually picked apart and broke down parts of my unhappiness and how that could change if I wanted it too. If you are considering working with Lynell--DO NOT WAIT!!"

"I was considering leaving my job after 17 years and wasn't sure what to do. I appreciate Lynell's thoughtful and organized approach, which has helped me as I transition to a new career path. She takes the time to learn about me and pushes me to identify and work through my particular challenges. Her guidance and support have been instrumental in keeping me on task and in assisting me in determining where I can be most successful. It helped me to think and talk things through with an outside observer which was really helpful. She encouraged me to think about why I was doing things and why I was feeling certain ways."

"I was feeling stuck in my professional life -- wanting to take action but not understanding what was holding me back. Lynell helped me to zero in on what I was struggling with and throughout our work together, I gained a tremendous amount of clarity around both my goals and my fears. I learned that rather than trying to figure out how to conform to things that have never really felt right to me, I'll now invest more time and energy in things that DO feel right. Lynell is an exceptionally intuitive and supportive coach who genuinely wants to see her clients thrive. She has a wealth of information and resources and really goes the extra mile for her clients, making sure they have all available resources."

"She has a wealth of knowledge and resources at her fingertips. She asks very powerful questions that are spot on and help me go deeper into what I am experiencing. I am better at connecting the "dots" in my life. Seeing how my relationships patterns today reflect my childhood conditioning. As a result, I'm able to be less attached to the outcomes. Lynell has suggested valuable processes that have helped me release attachments that were not serving my well being. Lynell really encourages me to go deeper when I'm in a state of pain. I use her tools to help shift my mindset and feel more freedom and clarity in my life. "

“Lynell was extremely talented at meeting me where I was at. She allowed me to bring my real self (whereas others have viewed me as too intensely focused on career/future and advised me to just give it time...). I enjoyed that we were able to focus my attention on a couple specific challenges that matter most, and that I was able to break them down into manageable chunks. She asked thoughtful questions to help me draw on other experiences. It was super validating to have a third-party observe my interactions with my current manager. Lynell's comments following that meeting allowed me to recognize what he's bringing to our interactions so that I don't feel like I must be the one in the wrong when we disagree. Another thing that stuck with me is the importance of getting buy-in from my team members and how to do it. Lynell is a talented coach with a breadth of experience. Her experience and coaching style are especially suitable for me as a more analytical leader and as a young woman with experienced (i.e. much older) male bosses. I feel that she recognized my personality and the leadership challenges/complexities that are at play, and she helped me gain a great perspective in a practical way. I think that her previous work experience and her experience as a military spouse are bonuses that shape her view and her ability to relate to my leadership style. I have really enjoyed Lynell's coaching and I've enjoyed her as a person. She has helped me practice so many necessary skills, especially with respect to people management.”

"Rather than just telling me how I should handle things, Lynell asked questions and challenged me to think through different scenarios and solutions on my own. We talked through these thoughts and potential solutions together, and Lynell always encouraged me to have more confidence in my abilities and my decisions. I often struggled to have confidence in myself and my abilities, and Lynell challenged me to say positive things about myself, to question why I felt insecure in different situations, and to push myself outside of my comfort zone. It was definitely uncomfortable to do things like list out my own strengths or network with people at a conference, but even though I didn't enjoy it in the moment, I look back and see how much it helped me grow! I might not have the most experience or knowledge, but I know more about my role and what I do than anyone else. When I feel I have nothing to contribute to a conversation, asking myself "What should they know about ESG?" Lynell is an amazing coach! She allows you the freedom to take the conversation wherever you want or need it to go, while always keeping your end goals in mind. She's a very attentive listener and asks thoughtful questions that will challenge you to rethink why you feel or act a certain way and how you can grow in the future. Rather than telling you what you should do to achieve your goals, she guides you to make your own decisions and find your own path."

"I loved that coaching was just "my time". Time that I could reflect and share my thoughts while receiving invaluable observations from Lynell since she was not a part of the office. I felt a sense of power. I could still motivate my team and move forward in my career; even after being passed over for promotion. I was happy with how my priorities lined up both at home and at work. My confidence and determination strengthened throughout our sessions. Lynell is a great coach. Her style and method is very effective. She immediately made me feel comfortable, and I could tell she really cared about my situation. "
